Firebird v874 & Above
Supports both Firebird 3.0 and 5.0. Direct upgrading keeps FB 3.0; Create new standalone databases will use FB 5.0. Current SQL Diagnosis doesn’t support FB 5.0, but external program (XLS, MDB, text import, and stock pick checker) still work— must report any issues to senior.

New Customers:
Standalone setting create new database uses FB 5.0. For network setting, use FB 5.0 if no external tools are needed; otherwise, use FB 3.0.

Existing Customer Upgrade to FB 5.0:

• For standalone setting requires backup and restore.
• For Network setting: uninstall FB 3.0, install FB 5.0, then backup and restore.
